1. What is iConnectMIDI?iConnectMIDI is a compact piece of hardware that connects your iPhone/iPod Touch to the world of MIDI-enabled devices such as synthesizers, drum pads, and even lighting controllers. With new, imaginative software made for the iPhone/iPod Touch, you can now use your iPhone/iPod Touch to control or play those devices in new ways.
2. Why was iConnectMIDI created?With Apple’s penetration into the creative space of music and the iPhone’s spectacular growth – coupled with Apple’s new ability in their iPhone operating system to allow full communication between the iPhone and the outside world – we thought it was time to make a device that allowed the iPhone/iPod Touch to interface with your musical instruments and other MIDI-enabled devices.
3. Is iConnectMIDI easy to set up?Yes. For standard MIDI connections, use a standard MIDI cable between the instrument and iConnectMIDI’s MIDI connectors; plug in the cable from one device’s OUT port to the other device’s IN port.
For USB connections, use a USB cable to connect the device to the iConnectMIDI box. Ensure that you have the proper ends to your cable, as there are several different types of USB connectors.
For connecting to your iPhone/iPod Touch, use the included cable (RJ50 to iPhone 30-pin dock connector).
There will be applications available from iConnectivity at the Apple App Store. More applications will become available from other developers.

6. When will iConnectMIDI be available?We will start shipping iConnectMIDI in May 2010 .
